Call for Proposals for Funding under the SAS Return Project Scheme 2/2026
The Presidium of the Slovak Academy of Sciences (hereinafter referred to as the "SAS") announces the second call in 2026 for proposals for funding of research projects under the SAS Return Project Scheme for Researchers Returning from Maternity and/or Parental Leave (hereinafter referred to as the "Scheme").
In line with the SAS Gender Equality Plan, the Scheme is intended to support researchers returning to work after maternity and/or parental leave. Its aim is to facilitate their reintegration into research activities and the continuation of their research careers across all fields of research within SAS institutions.
Call timeline:
Call announcement: 1st August 2026
Proposal deadline: 30th September 2026, 23:59 (midnight)
Proposal submission: via the online registration system at nps.sav.sk portal
Announcement of evaluation results: December 2026
Project implementation period: 1st January 2027 – 31st December 2027
Final report submission deadline: 31st January 2028
